The MAS Principle

The next thing you may want to include in your wish list is, for example:

* What kind of car, do you want to drive?

* Who are people in your life that you’d like to help?

* What charities would you like to contribute to?

If you hit the lottery for ten million dollars, you can now START DREAMING BIG!

And that’s the first step to success - having a BIG dream.  Once again, the ”M“ stands for MAKE a decision about what it is that you want.

I’d like to take a moment to tell you that our CD programs at www.successforhispanics.com go into much greater detail about goal setting and success.  Make sure to take some time and learn more about them.

Now, back to the M.A.S. Success Principle.

The second letter, ”A,“ stands for taking ACTION!

When we mean taking action, we mean taking MASSIVE action towards your goal.  If you are looking to own your own business or purchase a dream home, whatever it is, you need to take MASSIVE action towards that goal.  One of the best ways to NOT take action is to procrastinate or waste your time in unimportant activities.  Television is one such time waster.  TV stands for ”Time Vaccuum.“  The average adult watches more than 32 hours of TV each week!  By watching so much television, you are not only susceptible to huge doses of negative information, but you could not possibly take action or complete life-changing goals by sitting like a couch potato for hours on end.  Taking MASSIVE action requires sacrifice and will-power.  You need to say to yourself, ”What am I willing to do without?  What am I willing to give up so that I can take MASSIVE action towards my goal?“

The next part of taking ACTION is ACTING NOW!  You’ve got to take action NOW!  What that does is build momentum - that second step - of taking ACTION right NOW - that builds MASSIVE momentum.  Simply remember that the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step!

One of the major problems facing society today is that far too often, individuals DECIDE on something, begin to take action and then that action just dies off.  We all know about December 31st.  People stand there with their family at the New Year’s Eve celebration and pronounce that they are going to ”lose fifteen pounds and get that toned body they’ve always dreamed about.“  However, what they do is something completely different.   A week or two later you hear, ”I’ll just start on Monday“ or “I’ll just get it done tomorrow.“  Tomorrow is an excuse.  Most of the time, tomorrow never comes.

The solution is to take ACTION NOW - immediately.  As soon as you get the idea, write it on paper and then make a concerted effort towards going in that direction.  It could be just entering the gym to become more comfortable with it - but do something that’s going to move you in that direction.  All of a sudden, when you take that next step, you start building incremental momentum.  Start visualizing taking MASSIVE action towards your goals and dreams every single day.

The last letter, ”S,“ stands for STICKING to that decision

I believe the most important step, believe it or not, is STICKING to your decisions.  Many people say they want to take some weight off, or people say they want to earn six figures, or many people say they want to own their own business, and most people say they want to accomplish great things.  They all make a decision.  Then a few more will take the next step - they take action.  They’ll start going to the gym after making that New Year’s Eve resolution we talked about earlier.  They will take ACTION.

Unfortunately, people that begin to take action will rarely KEEP taking action.  Most people that fail to get more out of their life, fail to accomplish their goals because of the final piece of the M.A.S. Principle - STICKING to that decision.  Most individuals will actually take action on a decision for a day or two.  They may even go for a couple of weeks.  However,  most people don’t last long term.  They don’t do what needs to be done to stick to their decision.
